Why should I monitor my usage?
Monitoring your usage can help you detect security breaches, misuse of your service and other problems that could result in excess usage charges on your next bill. Identifying high usage early helps you act quickly to limit your downloads, upgrade your plan or secure your service without waiting for a cost blowout. We offer an automated Usage Alert service (see below), and you can keep a close eye on your service by checking your Daily Summary report on CustData.
Usage Alerts
CustData will automatically send you Usage Alerts as your data usage passes an estimated 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%, 175% and 250% of your plan's monthly allowance.*
These percentage levels are set to help you detect any potential problems and take appropriate action to limit your excess usage costs. However you can tailor your usage notifications by ‘switching off’ any or all of the standard alerts.
Note that Usage Alerts are only sent to the Billing Contact email address that you’ve registered in CustData. So it’s vital for this address to be valid and closely monitored.
How do I update my Billing Contact address?
Login to CustData and click the Message Service tab under Account Administration. Then scroll down to the ‘Billing’ row and click ‘Edit' to enter or change the Billing Contact address for your account.
How do I tailor my Usage Alerts?
If you go into the Usage Notification section of CustData, under the Service Management menu, you can deselect the alert levels you don’t wish to use.

Excess usage policies:
If you go over your monthly download allowance, any excess data usage will be charged as per Our Customer Terms at http://www.telstra.com.au/customerterms/bus_isolutions.htm.
* Usage Alerts are not available for Fixed and Unlimited plans, Multi-Site Volume-Based plans, or Customised Pricing plans
